Students in their final three years at Ashwood School undertake a multi-faceted program that develops the key competencies necessary for post-school life. These years are a true transition and aim to assist students to develop confidence and competence in the skills to function in post-school employment, further education and training, leisure and recreation and home and community living.

The Year 10, 11 and 12 STEP curriculum involves the students participating in the Vocational Pathways Certificate (VPC).  
Educational programs include:

• Numeracy skills
• Literacy skills
• Personal Development
• Work related skills and
• Industry Specific skills

As part of the STEP curriculum, Pathway Programs enable students to practise work and career related skills and enhance personal social skills in a co-operative work environment.  These pathways programs including: Catering, Business/ Administration, Retail, Trades and Horticulture

In collaboration with parents/carers a post school pathway plan is formulated for all final year students to prepare for the years ahead.
